No Sea Dogs hockey until the big Shawinigan match up Thursday night at Harbour Station. Recently acquired Charlie Coyle is expected to be in the lineup for the Dogs. We can also expect to see the Cataractes big catch at trade deadline to be in their line up. It will seem odd to see Gormley not wearing the Wildcats jersey. Should be an exciting game!
From Sea Dogs to Bulldogs-
From Sea Dogs to Bulldogs-
Three wins in 46 hours for the Hamilton Bulldogs. Andreas Enqvist scored twice and former Saint John Sea Dogs goaltender, Robert Mayer had his shutout bid squashed late in Sunday’s 3-1 win over the Oklahoma City Barons on Sunday at Copps Coliseum, capping a three-game, three-win weekend for Hamilton.
The Bulldogs had a big weekend on the scoresheet, netting 12 goals in three games with wins against Syracuse (5-2), Toronto (4-1) and Oklahoma City (3-1).
Robert Mayer made 35 saves in the win, but lost his shutout bid late in the third. It’s Mayer’s second consecutive win since coming in for Nathan Lawson after he left with a concussion Friday night.
“For a guy that sat down 36 games last year and stepping up like this, I’ve got to give him credit,” Jodoin said of Mayer’s recent play.
“He had some rough times at the beginning of the season, he couldn’t win a game, but now he’s winning,” Jodoin said. “This is a huge asset for us.” (quotes from Hamilton Spectator)
