Sea Dogs Hold Off The Armada....

The Saint John Sea Dogs ran their winning streak to five games, doubling the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 6-3 before 4,608 fans at Harbour Station Sunday. With the win the Sea Dogs improve to 36-13-0-2 for 74 pts and one point ahead of Shawinigan for first overall in the league.
Danick Gauthier scored two goals and had an assist for the Sea Dogs, Tomas Jurco had a goal and two assists, and Jonathan Huberdeau scored a goal and added a helper. Ian Saab and Zack Phillips chipped in singles, with two assists each coming from Charlie Coyle and Charles Roussel. Mathieu Corbeil made 33 saves for the win that was Corbeil’s 28th of the season, establishing a new team record.
Cedric Paquette had two goals for the Armada and Alex Micallef added a single. Storm Phaneuf made 33 saves in the loss as Blainville-Boisbriand fell to 27-20-2-1.
